Collection of the Allschwil Museum

Since the 1960s, the municipality of Allschwil has run a museum and a public collection. The collection consists of three sections:

Lusser Collection

Historical and folklore collection of doctor and art historian Josef Lusser (1904–1997) - objects from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Augustin Collection

Art objects and furniture from the private collection of Dr. Hermann Augustin (1900–1977) - objects from the late 17th to 19th centuries.

Tschan Collection

Weapons and military-related objects from border guard Albert Tschan (1871–1958) - objects from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

The collection of the municipality of Allschwil is listed in the Swiss inventory of cultural assets worthy of protection as objects of regional importance (category B) (KGS no. 12058). The federal and cantonal regulations on the protection of cultural assets apply accordingly.
