After a ten-year break, we are reopening the Allschwil Museum, a house for culture and history!

 

Festival program:

• Opening of the exhibition "My Twins and I, Act I" with curatorial tours at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.; talk with participants at 3 p.m.

• Information exhibition on the 300-year-old timber-framed house with architectural tour at 12 noon*

• Guided tour of the museum's object storage at 2 p.m.* (Neuallschwil schoolhouse)

• Improvisational theatre about Allschwil with Pfirsi.ch at 12, 2 and 4 pm

• Ukrainian music at 11, 1 and 3 pm

• Painting with Mauricio Pavon between 2 and 4 pm*

The first exhibition is called "My Twins and I": Which objects are in the Allschwil museum collection? Why were they collected? What would we collect today so that it won't be lost in the future—what would such pairs of twin objects look like? People from Allschwil will select the objects and share their stories. The exhibition runs from April 20 to June 29, 2025.
